Self-taught, Hastings-based artist Sophie Barnard has dipped in and out of the art world either creatively or behind the scenes since leaving school. Her style has evolved over the years into recognisable works of the imagined.

Currently working with wool on hessian, Sophie creates striking tapestry-like works from reconstructed human forms, re-worked domestic objects to everyday scenes crossing over into fantasy.
